Video Games Increase Frequency of Sex / Remote Control Pigeons

Some people prefer the radio, other prefer their CD’s and MP3’s. I personally find myself listening to the radio about 95% of the time. I particularly like good morning radio programs as they make my mundane morning drive go by much faster and usually the radio show is pretty funny, so by the time I get to work, I’m walking into the office with a smile on my face and somewhat happy.
Here are a couple stories that I heard on my favorite morning radio program. I thought they were interesting and intriguing and worth passing on.
The first story was about the amount of sex that couples tend to have. The radio hosts were saying there was a study done comparing couples that play video games (Play Station, X-Box, Nintendo etc) and couples that don’t. The result of the study was, even with life being so busy; couples that play video games tend to have far more sex than couples that don’t play video
games. In competitive environments, there is some chemical in the body that is released in competitive environments that is commonly confused with the feelings of arousal.
It sort of makes sense, when you are sitting with your partner playing some game, Halo, Grand Tourismo, EA Hockey, etc…it is just natural to sit sort of close with your significant other. Of course when you engage in such games there will be the trash talk, victory dances and all that other good stuff.
The trash talking and victory dances, will of course prompt the player that just got creamed (usually the female) to have an increased desire to be more competitive and maybe even mad. This increased feeling of competitiveness, anger and a close proximity to the other partner are prime conditions for physical hitting, and probably some “playful” wrestling and possibly more
“exciting” things.
I was thinking to myself that the results of this study solidify the need for men to play their video games. Guys, just try and convince your significant other to sit down and try to learn how to play the games with you…what do you have to lose? Absolutely NOTHING and EVERYTHING to gain!!! You get to play your video games AND potentially increase the frequency that
you get some real action!
The second story I heard on the radio was about scientists in
These Chinese scientists have implanted these electrodes into pigeons that enable them to control the flying pattern of the bird. How crazy is that? I thought that was mind boggling when I heard it! Implanting electrodes into pigeons so you can remote control them and tell them to fly left and right and up and down?
What is this world coming to? Soon they will be selling these pigeons as toy pets to kids!! I really don’t believe that
this is a good thing. I’m not an animal rights activist, but I do believe you should leave things like this alone!
Thanks for reading, have a great day…more interesting bits tomorrow.
