Snowing in the TriCity Area Sunday Jan 27, 08 11:45am

Winter is not over yet! It has been snowing pretty good since about 8:30am this morning. Here are some pictures outside my house. The snow is still coming down with more forcasted for the next few days. There have been a number of times this year we have had some good snow here in the Lower Mainland. Snow in the Lower Mainland is not a regular occurance unlike towns in the north of British Columbia.  Last few years when it has snowed in the Lower Mainland, it has only snowed at most a couple times per year, and when it did snow, it ended up washing away the next day. This year the snow has stuck around !

Prince George Couch Surfing Crash

It is peak ski season here in Canada, and usually in the spring ski resorts have events where people dress up in funny outfits and ski down a hill on their skis or in some sort of contraption and try to clear a big body of water.

Well these clowns from the northern city of Prince George, decided to do a similar event but instead of holding it in the winter, they held it in the summer, on a big sandslope with no body of water. They ran this event for a number of years, and it started with people skiing down the hill, but year after year it got crazier and crazier, and well after this incident the event stopped….I wonder why? Maybe it was the fact that these red necks were flying down a hill on sitting on a couch drinking beers, or randomly running spectators over or flying through the air like rag dolls at the end…hmmm I don’t know, but really how did these guys think they were going to stop? They were doomed from the get go. The guys sitting on the couch would have slammed into the sand bank in at the bottom anyhow…bunch of idiots…

The title says it all. These guys are sort of nuts. Check out the video. You think a Mini could do that?

McDonalds Kid Rapper Commercial

This is one of the funniest Mcdonalds commercials I have ever seen. My roommate showed it to me when he was watching the New England Patriots play last week. This commercial had us laughing hysterically. I bet you this kid has free Mcdonalds for life. I would like to see him do another rap dance in 10 years, cause he’d probably be fat and overweight with all that Mcdonalds in his system!!

Christmas House Lights 2007 - Tri City Area

Happy New Year! I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous 2008. Hope the Jolly Red guy was good to all of you and I hope New Year’s Eve wasn’t too much of a bender ! The New Year’s party that I went to was suppose to be super mellow and chill, but once the wine started flowing, the clock struck 12am, and the fine Italian Moonshine got broken out, a small whister condominium turned into a loud crazy disco till the week hours of the night! I had good intentions of skiing on Jan 1, 2008, but that really didn’t happen.  Anyhow, Happy New Year!

The holidays are a great time to spend some family time, and every year the Tri City News, a local new paper that serves Port Coquitlam, Coquiltlam and Port Moody British Columbia, puts out a list of homes that have a pretty good Christmas light display. I took my Mom out one evening for a drive around and this is what we checked out. It was lots of fun and many people were doing the same thing. Great light displays always make the holiday time feel a bit more festive. Some of them are really good and it must take these people an entire month to get their displays up and running, not to mention their electricity bills must be huge!  I’m going to publish the addresses of these homes, as they were in the paper and you can find them online!

Pretty good evening of checking stuff out. There were lots of other houses that had nice displays, but these were the ones that had the most. Cheers!
